~ Work Philosophy ~

I wanted to impart a bit of what makes me tick, tick, tick and also a bit of my personality and sense of humor. This is also a look into my professional pet peeves and the core of what I feel sets myself and others apart as event professionals.

- The show is bigger than any one of us. You have just entered the production collective where individuals are absorbed into the whole. If you don't work towards our mutual collective goal you may find yourself on the outside. Welcome to the Machine!

- Despite any onsite issues, the show must go on. This may require superhuman efforts to which ends I carry spare super capes for those who care to join me. You have to provide your own tights though.

- If production were easy everyone would do it. I say everyone can - to what degree of Awesome remains up for debate. By the way there is such a thing as negative awesome - I have seen it and it is SCARY! As a friend of mine used to say: "If you keep cutting corners you wind up going in circles".

- Maintain your sense of humor no matter what happens. When one starts to slide they tend to take others with them. And remember you have to be able to laugh at yourself before laughing at others. Keeping a mirror around helps with this.

- The customer is always right. That may be more like they know what they would like to see but hired us to make sure it's right and safe. Make sure they have all the information they need to make a decision based on facts. That's why we're here and they hired us.

- Don't worry about it, no one will notice. Actually everyone will notice because everyone will be there. We don't make money if no one shows up. Clean it up and keep it neat!

- Don't worry about it, no one will go back there. You never know who is going to go where they shouldn't - and no, it doesn't make it their fault if something happens. Some events serve alcahol so Safety First!

- I don't care, i don't even like these guys. Doesn't matter, your job as a professional is to turn over the closest thing to perfection this side of heaven no matter for what or for who it is. Leave your ego on the truck please, not needed here.
